We are giving away 2 Sisters of Savings Binders

The Sisters of Savings are giving away two coupon binders. Leave a comment and tell us why you deserve the binders and how it will help you stay organized. Two winners will be chosen. It won't hurt to include a funny story about losing a coupon or two because you can't stay organized or even how you look with all the envelopes in your basket.

SOS is in New York City!

I wrote a list of 40 things to do before or when I am 40 years old. Going to New York City was one of them. I am here, in New York City, it's 12:25 a.m. and everyone is in bed sleep except for me. The city lights in Times Square will fool you! If I look outside, it looks like it's still daylight from some angles. Today was an incredible day. I had a fantastic time and I will blog about it tomorrow. I miss my family and friends but I am still excited about getting away from everyday life and adventuring into unknown territory. Tomorrw Lynette will be on Good Morning Texas and maybe just maybe, I will make it to Good Morning America. Time will tell.

Leaving a Legacy... enjoy

This was posted on our SOS message board and I had to share it with you.... Enjoy
Hi Sisters,
I haven't posted on the boards in a very long time, but I've never stopped shopping SOS style! I did take a break for a few weeks here recently from shopping and yesterday was my first "real" trip back to the stores. At 2 different stores I saw a sad site- people putting things back at the checkout because they did not have enough money. One lady with a small child put back hamburger meat, hot pockets and cereal. That one really hit me hard. I have 20 lbs of hamburger in my freezer from when Tom Thumb had it for 99 cents a pound a few weeks back. Cereal is obviously not an issue and anyone who has followed the buddy for any length of time has had hot pocket burnout because we get them for 50 cents a box so often. This lady was ahead of me and left before I could even look through my Q's to try and help her. I'm sure she was embarrassed and if I were her feeling pretty angry I had to take food from my childs mouth because things have gotten so ridiculously expensive. But I'm not her and it's all because I saw a brief commercial for Good Morning Texas a year and a half ago and then had someone else remind me to check out this site. I came to a workshop and I have not worried since about not having enough money to buy my groceries. Thanks to Cheryl and Lynette my family was able to take our very first vacation last summer because I had saved so much money at the store we could afford one. This fall my 5 year old will get to go to a small private school because we can afford it. We can because of SOS! I'm sure when Lynettes husband told her she only had $20 to feed their family for a week she did not see it as a blessing, but ladies look at how many you have now fed on that $20! it's just like loaves and fishes. I'm so glad you ladies are getting so much media coverage. Every time you are on the TV, radio or in the paper you are helping someone else just like me and hopefully that lady in Kroger who put those things back. Thank's y'all, you are both blessed and a blessing to more people than you know!

Father's Day Contest winner

Drum roll please....and the winner for the Father's Day contest is Cindy Miller! Your husband won not one- BUT two hotel nights at the NYLO hotel after we contacted them and shared your entry we told them he deserved so much more and they agreed!

Blake will be riding in a stretch limo and eating a nice tender steak ummmm.... at Ruth's Chris Steak house! Cindy, will also receive a purse, bubble bath, candles and a toiletry packet for your stay. Also a portion of Cindy's entry will be read on Good Morning Texas-- Monday, June 16th at 9:00 a.m. and the entire entry is in this newsletter and will be posted on WFAA website.

The entries we received were from the heart. They were all so good and heartfelt, that we added an extra prize-- it was clear to us that a 17 old wanted to honor his father on Father's day. Jordan Rodgers will win $50.00 compliments of the Sisters of Savings to give to his father.
